John J. Carlson
John J. Carlson has been practicing personal injury law for over twenty years. John received his Bachelor of Science degree from Bemidji State University and then attended University of Minnesota Law School where he earned his Juris Doctor degree. He was named a Minnesota Super Lawyer in 2009. He has also been listed in "Who's Who in Personal Injury" in the Minnesota Law and Politics Magazine. John is an experienced and successful trial lawyer who has obtained millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for his clients. John is a member of The Minnesota Association for Justice and The Minnesota State Bar Association.
Robert V. Jones
A lifelong resident of Minnesota, Robert V. Jones has been practicing criminal defense for over fifteen years. After graduating from Bemidji State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, he went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate degree from William Mitchell College of Law. Robert has successfully tried numerous cases in state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate levels. On three separate occasions, from 2004 to 2007, Robert was named a "Minnesota Rising Star," a distinguished honor because only three percent of Minnesota's licensed attorneys receive this distinction. Robert has also been named in "Who's Who in Criminal Law" and "America's Registry of Outstanding Professionals." Robert is a member of the National Academy of Criminal Defense lawyers.
Cara A. Wittwer
Cara A. Wittwer joined Carlson & Jones, PA, as an associate attorney in 2010. Cara has practiced in the area of family law since 1994, and has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since 1998. Cara graduated from Hamline University with a double major in Business Administration and International Relations; and attended William Mitchell Law School, where she obtained her Juris Doctor attending the law school's evening program.
Cara's practice in the area of family law includes dissolution of marriage, child support proceedings, post-decree matters, custody and parenting time proceedings, parentage proceedings, third party (nonparent) custody proceedings, and family law related appeals. Cara is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin and Wright County Bar Associations.
Derek Rosso
Derek Rosso is an associate attorney who joined Carlson & Jones, P.A., in 2010. Derek graduated from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities in 2005, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology. Derek graduated with distinction from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2008, where he wrote for the North Dakota Law Review and was active in Moot Court. Prior to joining Carlson & Jones, P .A., Derek completed a one-year clerkship for the Honorable Daniel J. Crothers, Justice of the North Dakota Supreme Court.
Derek practices primarily in the area of family law, and he is licensed to practice in Minnesota State Courts. He volunteers for Central Minnesota Legal Services and he is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
